it seems that the trainers aren't activating a new battle after I delete them from the register. When I talk to them, they give the response as if they had lost. Am I missing a step or is it simply impossible to re-battle trainers?

I was once told how to edit the info in register.dat so I can delete trainers and re battle them, but I cannot find the thread where I read how to do it. Are you sure you waited long enough? It takes quite a while for me too but eventually it will go away (for me)
