I just downloaded it, and I have to say the first thing that I really liked is the music :D the little tune that plays on the first route somehow reminds me of the shire music from lord of the rings or the hobbit

Maybe try closing running background applications on your computer that don't need to be on, if your game is full screen, it sometimes runs better when its windowed. Also double check to make sure all the graphics are down, facy to fast, distance to tiny, no battle animations, no bobbing, offset...

I was just talking with my friend who used to play this game, but he stopped when he lost his save file when he updated his game, not just launcher, to 0.25. When the next update comes around, I'm afraid I may lose my data. Is there a reason this happens and is there way it can be prevented?

I have the same issues sometimes, and some how I ended up with 3 different versions of the launcher and game. What I do is I open the start menu and type pokemon3d into the search, if you have more than one pokemon3d app like I do (for some reason) try opening and loading your game with all 3...
