There has been a change between v0.19 to v0.20 that causes this problem we narrowed it down to the moment it tries to load in the pokémon image that is where it crashes.
At this current time we cannot help u further it is something Nilllzz has to fix in his code for the next update.
Only...
This isn't feasible to do all textures for each map are put together by hand and each map is constructed by hand.
During this process the textures are carefully mapped onto those blocks.
If u want to have some sort option to turn "Classic" into "HG/SS" u would have to rely on modders to...
Well i am out of idea's then i am afraid perhaps DracoHouston has any idea's as to what might be causing it?
We know so far it crashes upon trying to load in the images we pretty much replaced all necessary files that are needed by the game to load them in.
The fact that there is no...
Save works fine for me it has to do something with how the images are loaded in.
The files i uploaded in my previous post:
Attempt nr 1 are the original uploaded files
Attempt nr 2 contains the original .dat files but i re-compiled the animations files
Since it crashes when it tries to load in the images or pokémon data i can only suggest that u re-check these files
Pokemon3d\Pokemon\Content\Pokemon\Data\152.dat
Pokemon3d\Pokemon\Content\Pokemon\Data\155.dat
Pokemon3d\Pokemon\Content\Pokemon\Data\158.dat...
Replace those same scripts with these custom ones.

I added a extra line before the image is shown for each start pokémon
@Text: Crash in 3 ~2 ~1

:if:not register(pokemongot)

However normally this is not a requirement for the game to work and cant really...
Well we can at least rule out the possibilities of incorrect software installed or missing files.
What operating system are u running on have u tried running the game in administrator mode / compatibility mode (Depending on your OS)
I myself have not encountered this problem and have it...
Do u have by any chance these latest versions installed?
Download and install .NET 4.0
Download and install XNA for 4.0
These are requirements in order to run the game there might be a possibility you have some older versions installed.
If u do have these installed could u check inside your...
I would suggest u download a fresh copy of the game to remove the possibility of any files that for some reason may have gone missing.
All u need to do is remove the "Pokemon" folder and run Pokémon3D.exe again this should download a fresh copy of v0.20.
Try that and see if it still...
At what point does it crash the moment u click on the pokeball and the image appears or when u hit "Yes" after that when u want that specific pokemon?
If u could post a step by step explanation it would help us trace where the possible cause might be.
