yeah, you have to add the Fps , the game won't do it for you(it didn't for me). i just use Pokemon Online's teambuilder to see what stats would the pokemon have after i add the EVs

The moves that I gave to Chinchou are:
  1. Hydro Pump
  2. Thunderbolt
  3. Ice Beam
  4. Heal Bell

in my Gold version i remember i had the moveset as
1. surf
2. thunderbolt
3.whirlpool
4.thunderwave

if you couldn't tell it was my only water pokemon (have to have a varied party so i try to limit to one of each type)
explain your heal bell? my style of fighting is focused on pure offense with some status changers in the mix so seeing a healing move seems like a waste to me

the heal bell is usually for competitive reasons, since in the game you can use items and have pokemon centers everywhere.

ah i see, i've always done single player and never an intensive trip into comp.

now by competitive do you mean one after another without any resting in between?

huh? no, i meant in PvP battles, since you can't use items. many people use status moves so is nice to have a healer.
