There's no current way to launch the game with additional command line arguments, but I will see that I can implement an option to the launcher that will add the -forcegraphics parameter.
Maybe something like Windows Update or Windows Recovery (or another program) was running and occupied the hard drive, leaving Windows Explorer no read time on your file system.
This might happen when the data streams on your hard drive are a performance bottleneck.
Pokémon3D itself is of course...
This is not a bug, since it is working correctly: It cannot detect a suitable graphics card.
The thing here is that this is not something I've programmed: this is a DirectX error, meaning XNA won't work either.
You need to search for yourself for your graphics card what might've caused this.
Yeah, the launcher is removing any read-only locks from the files. Or at least, it should be.
I implemented a new way to do that for the next version of the launcher, maybe that is working better with files that have been downloaded through the website.
I can assure you, that is not the case.
Also, just as a little fact, the AI is the same for every trainer, the Elite 4 is not using a different one :D
I am planning to change this though, depending on the trainer's strength and also the game's difficulty setting.
The AI is predicting and sometimes even calculating, but not playing unfair as in breaking the rules. Stuff like crit chances are the same for player and NPCs, same with paralysis and so on.
The phrase "IsRecoilMove" is working as intended.
It does not give the move any effect like dealing recoil damage to the user, it only classifies the move as a recoil move. This is important for the effect of some other moves or items.
The Achievements aren't saved with your "Pokémon save state".
Once you get the achievement (called "Trophy" on GameJolt), they are saved to your GameJolt profile.
The ingame save option doesn't have anything to do with that.
GameJolt probably closed your session.
There's no way to tell this through the current GameJolt API though, so is not fixable right now.
I already forwarded this to the API programmer at GameJolt who is going to put this in the API eventually...
