Yap... as I suspected. You are having a internet connection sharing with many people and not really a modem or a router... so I don't think you can port forward.

To get the IP of your router, you open command prompt, type in
Code:
ipconfig
Then scroll down to the connection you're using (If you're plugged in, it's probably "Ethernet adapter Ethernet:" or something like that. Under that, your router's IP is "Default Gateway."

For example, here's mine:

My computer has two ethernet ports and a wlan/bluetooth card.

So in order you see:

My bluetooth connection from my wireless card
Generic wired local area connection
EasyTether, I program I used to use to tether to my unrooted Android phone
Generic wireless local area connection
The ethernet port I'm using to plug into my router
My wireless card that I'm currently not using
My other ethernet port that I'm not using

You'll notice for the connections that I'm not using, it just says "Media disconnected." You can ignore those. If I wanted to find the IP of my router, I'd look at "Ethernet adapter Ethernet:" and read the IP next to "Default Gateway." In this case, the IP is 192.168.0.1. I'd then type that into my browser to hopefully connect to the browser interface of the router. If you're at school or some large business, you're not going to have the password to get into the router and they're not going to give it to you. If that's the case, there's no way to port forward and host from that connection.
