That isn't how smogon works. Any lower tier poke can be used in ubers, whimsicott is RU class which happens to have a page written for it for ubers because it is prankster which isn't dependant on stats. It is still RU class usage.

Not all pokemon have a page in ubers, including pokemon like Gardevoir. And even if it isn't widely used in Ubers (supposedly) it would still be viable because of its traits in my opinion, and in the opinion of whoever wrote the ubers page for it.

Whimsicott is now UU in gen 6 despite having gained absolutely nothing from the Fairy Type unlike everything else.

I'm pretty excited for the league. Most of my team are the OU Fairy Types. Don't see the point in keeping that secret when there are only like 8 Faires in the game lol

I'll tell you what it gained, a free switch in to dragon attacks(mostly useless given dragons coverage moves) and a 4x weakness to poison.

Edit: Unless you mean that a pokemon can be viable for uber, but not be due to not being used very often.

Exactly lol. Whimsy has no business switching into most dragons unless he's getting in on an Outrage or Garchomp that doesn't have Iron Head/Poison Jab.
