i'm all out of ideas. nilllzz hasn't gotten around to giving me access to the main game's source so i can't check for you, but it's working here, and probably working fine on nilllzz's rig, might be a hard one to reproduce :\ im sorry i can't help you any further

let us know when it completely syncs, mate, then i'll add it to my drop box and try and run it. if it works fine then your files are fine and something weird is happening on your machine in particular at runtime
the game runs on direct x 9 via the XNA framework for .net, so while its a long shot, try updating graphics drivers. if the issue is new to 0.20 and one of you played 0.19 fine then we can rule out it being just some rare bug we havent seen yet
