First, that pic is hilarious. Second, like Naturemon said, as long as you arnt too tall and dont weigh too much, THEN it is possible. I cant because im taller than charizard. Idk about wieght though. That is probably the deciding factor.
Charizard stands 1.7M tall (
5'07" imperial) and scyther stands 1.5M tall (4'11" imperial) if ash can ride charizard in a couple of episodes than scyther should be just tall enough. also, not attempting to fight here just giving my thoughts

he can carry me easy
and no that isn't an exact reasoning for why those pokemon should be rideable

if he can't carry the average human on its back then noone can

Not to mention he's a starter, so in general if all of the Johto starters can be ridden it makes sense to just have all of them ridable.I am 6 foot and 200 pounds

<3Arcanine is rideable, I'm riding mine.Charizard and Tyranitar are walking on two legs, i think they not able to ride. Pokemon that really need to ride - Arcanine (ride&extremespeed)

Well, look at it this way, lets say you're riding a Pigeot, Pigeots can fly fast...but birds can't exactly walk very fast even on their own..you'd probably be better off walking.Could the original poster please highlight which Pokemon are already capable of learning Ride? I'm a bit confused xD
On Subject: If a Pokemon is able to learn Fly and isn't super small like Pidgey, I think it should be able to learn Ride. Thats just my 2-cents

True, but doduo is very fast. It is a bird, can also learn fly, I believe. Also, Scyther should be ridable. It's big enough to carry you, and very fast.
