Launcher won't start/update, or do anything else...

After disabling the firewall, the drop box one didn't work. It downloaded fine, but wouldn't let me start the game or update the launcher. The one off the main website, http://www.indiedb.com/games/pokmon-3d/downloads/pokmon-3d-launcher, downloaded as a FILE and not as an application that I could run.

So can you update and play the game with the launcher from the website?

No. When I try to even click the download link off the website, it ALWAYS says that the webpage cannot be found. But the downloads I get from third party sources will download the launcher, but the launcher won't start, display news and stuff, or let me update it.

Since I'm sure that this is a problem related to your computer at this point and not a bug, I'm just going to send you the entire folder.

Download worked, all the files seem to be there, but it still detected a Trojan. Besides that, when I try to launch the application from the folder you sent me, it says that It won't work because I have to launch it from the launcher.

Disable your anti-virus(just for now). Run the game from the launcher that is included in that folder and it should work just fine.

I disabled every single thing that could be disabled in my Webroot GUI and tried to launch the application to no avail.

No, I mean stop the program. Turn it off. I need to see if there are any other problems besides your anti-virus picking up a false positive.

By turn it off, do you mean to close out of it? If that's so, it didn't work. If by turn off you mean go into task manager and end the task, that didn't work either. It just wouldn't end the task.

Sorry for having to deal with me, I'm working on a project and just spent 3-4 hours doing the same thing over and over again, so I'm a little loopy.

Are you saying that webroot is not allowing you to close itself? It's ok, just, somehow, I need you to disable webroot so it isn't detected as a trojan. I haven't the slightest clue why webroot is detecting it as such and I'll probably file a report with them later so this doesn't affect anyone else. For now though, just, somehow, disable webroot.

I suspended it from protecting against threats. Downloaded it again, created a shortcut making sure all files were where they need to be, and the launcher seems to be in order. I can launch the game on version 0.34, but when I click "Download latest version, it's still empty, like nothing is clickable except "cancel". Also, the launcher version seems to be 2.1.0.0.

You don't need to download the latest version with the files I gave you. That is the latest version. Just click "Start game (0.34)"

You don't need to download the latest version with the files I gave you. That is the latest version. Just click play game.

The only problem being that once Webroot is re-enabled, it immediately quarantines the "Trojan" and renders my shortcut useless.
