It's thanks to the Pokegear. I backtracked the entire region, talking to people I had battled before to get their phone numbers, then I was called by the juggler at the route north to Goldenrod city. We rebattled, I won, and he gave me a thunderstone.No problem, how did you get that Thunderstone?
So essentially, they're prizes for winning rebattles.
