After my second Gym Battle, I went to the Union Cave to go back to lower level areas for leveling my weaker Pokemon.
Whenever I try to exit the Union cave at both exits, I get an error message and I am not teleported to the intended location.

Found a temporary solution in allowing the randomly encountered Pokemon to make your own Pokemon faint, thus sending the player to the Pokemon Center in Azalea (Assuming visiting the place caused the Union Cave to be bugged upon return)

Yeah I forgot to include an NPC..... :p
it is fixed for the next update

Why are we forced to have a Beldum as a starter?
A little odd, considering that its a pain to get to level 20 (when it has something other than Take Down...)
