well when you chain pokemon you want only that pokemon otherwise the chin will break forcing you to start over agian. but when you are chaining you will want to search at least four spaces away from the last space you encountered the chain pokemon. its a lot harder in this one but takes a lot of practice xp
no problem x) chaining also makes the ratio to finding a shiny from 1/8192 to 100/2000 if you want you can go into the national park at night and find a shiny hoothoot just keep track of the number so when you find a shiny you will know what the chain was at xp
it doesnt really but i will help you get a general idea of how many it might take to get a shiny.
in this game its a lot higher than that im already at a chain of 60 for another hoothoot xp i was on a 305 chain for slowpoke but decided to just call it quits and get some rest
a lot of practice patience and perserverence xp ive been doing chaing for a long time in platnium i have over 60 shiny pokemon xp
