Rare candies should be sold at the market in goldenrod city. I loved using them in the original pokemon games and i would live to see them in pokemon 3d too :)

starting with gen 4 they were available for a substantial amount of BP
maybe if they were like the energy drinks and cost almost 10000 poke?

i remember using the pokemon cloning item glitch in gold\silver to clone rare candies. it didn't really feel overpowered because it was tedious and it had to be done 1 at a time. It would be way too easy to just buy rare candies and it wouldn't make sense if were way overpriced. the most logical way would probably be a repeatably quest or as some kind of acheivement award.

Rare candies are supposed to be hard to get
earning the money to buy one will likely get you alot of levels too :)
so in the end it will all work out

If you want to overpower your party just change the game files and create a caterpie with aeroblast (yes, aeroblast was implemented in the game months ago).

In the original games, you can't buy them normally, only with "Battle Points" or like prizes in "games". I like the suggestion, but with a insane prize, like the vitamins or more.

i don't want to over power my party. not at all. I just think that its an item that was in the original pokemon games and it should also be in this one.

I don't like using rare candies as they don't really make your pokemon actually stronger even serebii.net points it out the drawbacks of rare candies.

well they still are in practically all the games, regardless if you use them or not they should still be inplemented somehow.

Well, in HG/SS, you could buy a rare candy for 2000 Athlete Points. Since it's easy to get points, I don't really see any problem in having them bought at a reasonable price, like 9800 poke.
