Ther is only one way, Day center. You leave pokes and they gain lvl for moneys.. but care, they learn moves by self and if not checked they got shitty move sets.

I've learned that there are an abundance of dittos on route 34 (aka tall grass near daycare man) and I find that battling dittos (which are all around level 10 in that area) are a very good way to level your pokemon. Also, battling the trainers on route 35 give your pokemon lots of EXP (especially the fire breather guy with the magmars) and you can re battle these trainers by going into the game registry and deleting them. To do this, go into the game folder. Click Save>the folder with your character name on it>Register. you can open it with notepad. You can tell what trainers are which because it will say "trainer_route35/004" which means it's the 4th trainer you encounter on route 35. Simply delete the info for the desired trainer you would like to re-battle (even gym leaders) and click SAVE!(do not click save as!)You can do this with any trainer you encounter so you can re battle them as much as you want. Make sure when you go to load your game after doing this, you click LOAD GAME, not continue (or else it wont work). A tactic I use in leveling low level pokemon against high level pokemon is putting my low level first in line for battle, then when the opposing pokemon appears, I switch out for my stronger pokemon so that my lower level pokemon gets half the EXP. Works like a charm :) A perk to re battling is that you keep earning money from the trainers you beat, so you can put 2 pokemon with day care man, and the money you earn from beating the trainers should amount to more than enough to buy your pokemon back from him in the long run.

is there any way to change the amount of exp u get from the daycare by editing the game files?

As far as I know from poking around the game files, I don't see a way. However, I found an empty daycare file, if you go into the game folder, then go to Save>Your playername>Daycare (open with notepad) it will open to a blank text file, for me it is blank I THINK because I don't have any pokemon in daycare. Although my thought is that once I put a pokemon in daycare, it will show up in that file and maybe then I'll be able to figure out how to alter the EXP gain. So maybe you can try that and see if there is anything to be altered.

I actually just did that now, it only shows your pokemons information, but I'm sure you can change the amount of EXP it has and the level number to make it a higher level pokemon and then save the file.

Don't forget to just hit save, and not save as on the notepad file :I also you will need to change its HP points and EXP points when you change its level up, I just tested it and mde my level 18 drowzee level 28 and his HP stayed at 54

The three best sources of XP I have found are the Unowns, the Dittos and some evolved pokemons hanging in trees (use headbutt). Dittos and Unowns are worth over 100 XP and the evolved ones in trees can be worth over 300 XP (Beedrills?) if I recall correctly.

i never really 'trained' off wild pokemon. Usually once i've chosen the pokemon am gonna use, exp from trainers is usually enough. except for that cave before u get to the elite four, there usually not that much you get from wild pokemon.

EVOLUTION GUIDE FOR BEGINNERS!
for those of you that aren't too familiar with training or just starting, I'm going to introduce you to the world of training!

Training involves having your pokemon fight in order to get EXP and become stronger. I'll be listing the main ways people train their pokemon.

1. Wild Grinding - this training is by far the most common form of training and the best way to also capture new pokemon. Wild grinding is basically sifting through any grass and encountering wild pokemon. Defeating wild pokemon gives you small amounts of EXP, but over time this adds up.
Tips: The level of the pokemon in a certain area usually correspond with how far into the game it is. For example the first patches of grass you encounter will ALWAYS hold pokemon ranging lvl 2-6 whereas the wild pokemon close to the elite four will be 36-43
Pros: wild pokemon are unlimited and everywhere
Cons: don't yield as much EXP as trainer battles and takes more time

2. Trainer Battles - this is the second form of training and involves trainers. Fighting trainers allows you to get more EXP than you would from battling wild pokemon, and you get money as well.
Pros: More Exp, money
Cons: The amount of trainers is limited and the total EXP given out is not enough to support a 6 pokemon team. Rematches are hard to get if at all.

3. 1st in, 1st out - This type of training is for weaker pokemon or newer pokemon in your team without the use of an Exp. Share. The basic idea is that you place the pokemon you want to train in the first slot. Whenever there is a battle (preferably with a strong opponent) you switch out the pokemon with one of your stronger pokemon before the first turn. After defeating the pokemon. Your weak pokemon gets a small share of the Exp for winning. This type of training can be used for wild or trainer battles.

4. EXP SHARE - exp. share is an item you find in the game that shares EXP from battles to the pokemon holding the item. Unlike 1st in 1st out, the pokemon does not need to participate in order to gain EXP. On top of that, all EXP gained is EQUALLY shared with the pokemon holding the item and the Pokemon who fought.

and there's your 101 in training.

As a side note the EXP. Share is not yet available in the game(would be nice though):/

also i have noticed the 1st in 1st out method splits the EXP in half between the weak pokemon switched out and the pokemon you used to fight, and if you use more than 1 pokemon it splits it evenly between them all, so even with the exp share is put in, it would be just as effective as 1st in 1st out

Exp share(in main game) gives half of all exp to the holding pokemon
the remaining exp is then split between all of the battlers
