Online Server system

See, if all the servers just used the players singleplayer stats, this could allow cheating, and make people with level 100s almost unbeatable on EVERY server. And, if a player has a mod and the other doesn't that's obviously going to cause a problem.
So, my suggestion is that each server has their own data, like Minecraft. So this eliminates: cheating, being unbeatable everywhere, and mod conflicts. The mods will be on the server so everyone will have the same mods! Makes sense right? Someone may say: Well then everyone will have to keep restarting! Yes, but this is the same with Minecraft and I've never seen someone complain about it.
But if the server really wants the single-player stats, it could be called a free server, where everything is still on each individual computer. This could be configured in the server settings. So this gives both options, so everyone can be happy. ^_^

This'd work, but a player'd have to set it up and everything. Nillz has said he doesn't want this becoming a mmo, I believe.

Yes... not a mmo personally. but This I wouldn't mind. This idea is different then most mmo's I have played. A server folder would be nice where it just loads the mods from the server into it.This way saving some time when you connect to someone else server. Also letting you see what the mods they are using and if you like you can reuse. But no main servers and maybe a server system that lets you check to see which one up and which one isn't.

Well think about this Minecraft is not a MMO it is a single-player game with multi-player compatibility like Minecraft. The only way this would become a MMO is if everyone had be connected to the internet to play and also had to play with everyone. It is most likely this game will turn out to be like Minecraft but only Pokemon Edition.

yea true. But ever heard of a online game call EO? well it was pretty much crap for game play but it had a main server. but a few hackers made their own servers and open the program up for the pubic. Anyway the maps from private servers would load into the game map folder as a type of history of each area. I was thinking something like that except it would load everything that is apart of a mod from a folder. The rest would be loaded from the normal folders. Except more like MC when it came to the server their self.

I guess that could work but it would be a long time for that to happen if it was ever implemented.
