See, if all the servers just used the players singleplayer stats, this could allow cheating, and make people with level 100s almost unbeatable on EVERY server. And, if a player has a mod and the other doesn't that's obviously going to cause a problem.
So, my suggestion is that each server has their own data, like Minecraft. So this eliminates: cheating, being unbeatable everywhere, and mod conflicts. The mods will be on the server so everyone will have the same mods! Makes sense right? Someone may say: Well then everyone will have to keep restarting! Yes, but this is the same with Minecraft and I've never seen someone complain about it.
But if the server really wants the single-player stats, it could be called a free server, where everything is still on each individual computer. This could be configured in the server settings. So this gives both options, so everyone can be happy. ^_^
