Since the old thread on this is locked, I couldn't make any reply to it.
Some were asking when alpha version will be out? No new updates and anything as of now.
Although I am not the one who started making this as a gamemode/maps, I will make a copy of this game on my own. If there are people who still like this to be out, I will try to update it.
Note: This project is not mine, I am only remaking it so that if it won't happen in next few months, this will serve as a backup. If splint is back, I will stop releasing and return his project back to him.
MOD EDIT: Moved to the old original thread and reopened it.
[ A special update from me ]
For my own build of Pokémon FireRed, I rename it to Pokémon FireRed Universal 3D.
I have specially created an in game intro into the game mode. Thus the original intro build in P3D will be just for entering your character name.
Now only the pallet town outside is done. ( Nearly 90% of the sprites are original to the game ) Buildings Interior will be done soon.
You can mess up anything inside the source file given below. Beware that you would need winrar v5 and above to extract it. If you want to mess up the sprites, you can open the photoshop file to edit.
The main thing that makes me build this game easily is because I am using one of my own 2D version of firered fan game ( my profile picture ). That has everything I need.
Have fun messing it up. If you want to help build this game, you are welcome to do so. I have to edit the 2D sprite for every town and create maps as well as script on my own
In the future, I might integrate into different region thus you can even end up in going back into pokemon 3d game by ship or even make it possible to play online and trade.
[Update 2: 4 Jan 2013]
Rooms sprites are currently not done. It will be delayed further until more rooms are done.
Here are the structure of certain files that can be seen in the future release on Pokémon FireRed Universal 3D gamemode file in a new post.
1. Map File:
EntityName.Layer.#.Floor.#
EntityName.Layer.#
Main:
EntityName
2. Scripts File Name: <EntityName><XXX><YYY><ZZZ>.dat
Here are the future plan that might be implemented in the future release on Pokémon FireRed Universal 3D gamemode file in a new post.
1. Translation for scripts: Not implemented unless really needed.
2. Integration to other region: Not implemented until vermilion city is done.
3. Integration to online mode for trading/roaming around: Not implemented until vermilion city is done and other permission is granted. ( I can actually make it possible to play online but it is not very safe )
4. Pokémon mystery dungeon inserted into the game with modification: Not implemented until it work smoothly in P3D. ( It should work pretty well )
5. Casino in Pokémon game?: Current P3D do not really have the script to handle this...thus not implemented until there is something that support casino like slots....
[ 12 Jan 2014 Mini Update ] Do you miss an update? This is a mini one.
Pokémon FireRed Universal 3D has a new version checker system in game that will not allow you to downgrade your offline save.
It may sound redundant but it will be useful for future release
If anyone could make a better indoor sprites, you can help me out. My sprite drawing skill really lousy.
Here is the change log since my last status update:
1. Added version checker into the game. ( Prevents future gamers to downgrade the game version on offline save )
2. Now all the object in the game are handled by the script given in the script folder so you can change the script easily without going through the map file.
3. GameMode.png graphic change.
4. Separate music from the game mode. ( This is because the gamemode folder do not support intro thus I have to use content pack for a quick fix )
5. Additional music not from pokémon game. ( Used for something else )
6. Player room has floor 2 now. + The PC enable you to have more options to choose from.
7. P3D does not contain item storage thus 1 Potion will be given for game compensation by choosing "Item Storage" option.

1. Translation for scripts: Not implemented unless really needed.
2. Integration to other game region: Not implemented yet.
3. Integration to online mode for trading/roaming around: Not implemented and by considering the danger it could create for online player, it is not recommended unless it is stable.
4. Pokémon mystery dungeon inserted into the game with modification: Not implemented yet but may consider as a side game to capture more pokemon.
5. Casino in Pokémon game?: Current P3D do not really have the script to handle this...thus not implemented until there is something that support casino like slots....
6. Other Gen pokemon: Implementing with the mystery dungeon.
Mini update:
I have added prof oak lab and rival house with some sprites removal.
I have also added more music and sound. ( Some were from mystery dungeon )
The version checker script is added as some of the new script require certain Register to be added in to run properly.
I have also added a new debug mode for players. The original one was to edit the sand box mode to 1 in P3D player.dat save file. That grant you walk through walls, teleport and other stuff. In order to test the script event, the sandbox mode does not do much unless you know the command so you just have to either add this into the register.dat ( without quote ) " Debug Mode " or type this into the sandbox command. @Register.register(Debug Mode)
It will let you debug and choose the event that you want to test without any condition.
To remove the debug mode, goto your register.dat in your save folder and delete " Debug Mode " or type in the sandbox command, @Register.unregister(Debug Mode)
This update did not release as a download thus wait for more special news.
Looking forward to see what you put out in place of Splint, which he was taken out of staff, apparently he won't be back for a good while. Don't know why, but we hope to see him back and maybe if he wants, you two could work on it together. Two people means work is done twice as quick. But I don't know if he'll be back at all.
So I am thinking since you are actually releasing something you should make it a resource
this area is for stuff with no playable version so putting this up as an actual release would be good
Go here and upload it so we know it is http://pokemon3d.net/forum/resources/

Are you sure it is a good idea to upload it into resource when this gamemode right now only have a pallet town which you can't really do anything yet ?
