My suggestion is to have an auto save, I remember wanting this with the gameboy version. Basically if it is on, I shouldn't have to go to the menu and save, if I turn off my game at any random point, it acts like I saved right before the game was turned off, maybe something along the lines of, if an pokemon gains exp, game event is triggered, item obtained ect. then save game, but save it in the background without me noticing.
I see they are suggested, but I would highly support native linux program, I was unable to get it working on wine. Linux is my main OS and the linux community is no doubt used to less than stunning graphics, its all about gameplay for us, I'm sure the support you would receive if it made it on the ubuntu software center would be astronomical, I mean who doesn't love pokemon.
Also already suggested, but free movement would be really nice, I understand why the character moves the way it does, but it seems really awkward in a first person view.
I do have to say this is an awesome project, I only played red blue and yellow and never got into the later versions. I was relieved when I saw all the pokemon were ones I knew. I was surprised I even remember bulbasuar supposed to be getting leech seed at lvl 7 (which he didn't btw lol). I still don't know the maps but hey I can learn. Thanks for the work so far, looking forward to the future updates.
