Get server app: http://pokemon3d.net/downloads/
Launch the server app once to get all the files. (Ofcourse, just close the app afterwards)
Edit the server config to your liking.
Save and run the server app.
Check if the config saved properly, if not, edit it again, if yes, don't touch it.
Give your friend your external IP. http://www.whatismyip.com/
(I think the engine is set to making the port 15124 automatically, but it would be nice to include that anyway)

Try disabling your firewall before launching the server.
Hrm, question, do you have a router and modem? You'll probably have to port the port on the modem AND the router for it to work, if that is the case, ofcourse.
Worth a try.Its one, but both.It's a modem/router. Let me ask you this: Within the configuration file of the server is a place for an IP address. Do I need to edit that to my external IP address?
