Opinion On Fairy Type?

Fairies & Faeries are two pretty different beings. Fairies tends to be the good guys while Faeries are the bad guys. Thus, Faeries do cover more things than just small elven creatures which you said, but Fairies do not.

They are actually not that different if you look at original folklore and name meaning. Both Fairies and Faeries mean the exact same thing in different languages: a mythological being or spirit with supernatural powers. These powers can stem from either good or bad, light or dark, even justice or chaos. This is why they should NOT be called the 'Light Type' or 'Moon Type' because they do not just deal with light or moon magic.

It seems like the confusion of the Fairy Type is only in English. The meaning of the words fairy, faerie, fay, or feary all suggest magical origins in just about every other language. For some reason, the word 'fairy' suggest a lack of manliness in English when in fact there are very manly fairies in lore (read: Mid-Summer Night Dream or other early English fay-folklore). Maybe the type should be named 'Magic Type' but then it would cause confusion since most of what Pokemon do in terms of ability seem like a combination of biology and magic....so it might cause some confusion.

Hoenn was far worse imo, but opinions, everyone have them.

Kinda derailing the topic here XD

On Topic: Assuming that Fairy Types are going to be immune to Dragon Types, do you think the move Outrage will be less used than it is now in the competitive metagame (its literally spammed right now)? The only other good physical Dragon Type move is Dragon Claw in terms of both power and accuracy. Getting trapped for 3-5 turns and not being able to do anything sounds pretty scary to me o.o

I think that it would be a lame thing to do, making fairies immune to dragon types, because of what you said. I hope that it would stay at just "not very effective".

Same opinion here.

Also, when I get a notification and see your avatar I think it's a lion... but it's actually a sandslash.... I don't understand how that works.

Eh, I can see how that would work, XD Again, though, I don't tend to use the move "Outrage" myself, but I can imagine being trapped for a few turns being able to do absolutely nothing but watch my Pokemon get decimated.

It's slightly distracting, your avatar, I mean. xD

Outrage is pretty neat, it's annoying you'll get confused, though.

Yeah, to me, confusion is the worst, ug. It is the main reason why I don't use the move.

Congratulations! Third time's a charm, right?! xD

Confusion is quite annoying, yes. But just switch out afterwards since an Outrage will probably have made the opponent switch or do something nasty.
