I am posting a link to the infamous Forgettable HM thread. It was a very heavily discussed topic but ultimately was utterly rejected by the Dev team(and myself) there are very many reasons why NOT to change the core basic of the game just because people want to teach hydro pump to their water type but can't find any room.Should be forgettable, that's not cool to doom pokemons with Flash/Cut/etc. without possibility to relearn.
that goes against the whole foundation of what a pokemon game is, it's your pokemon that help you navigate the world. not you.more reasonable to make them forgettable than adding NPC skill deleter
and still it's kinda stupid to trash pokemon 4 skills list with HMs to cut some trees or cross different water types etc.
would be better to have this as Trainer skills (there are enough battle skills without HMs)
you're missing the point, just because you are smart enough to remember "oh wait i need to reteach this HM for a little bit" does not mean everyone is on the same boat, all games have to be made in such a way that any one can play without worrying about people getting stuck over stupid mistakes such as forgetting an HM such as surf, in the middle of the ocean.Yeah, surf on Squirtle with Trainer and 5 150-300kg pokemons like Onix/Golem/Machamp/Charizard etc. really realistic navigation. Foundation will be broken with changes, definitely. Lets do nothing and hide from them.
And stop making this stupid example with stuck in places, they still will have a disk to relearn it if they miss with their illogically action.
TM system almost same as HM. Not infinitive but it's forgettable
All I see is that no one wants to bother with this, so just write as it is, rather than trying to convince others with useless
theories about world foundations and endless space with life in it.
Pokemon3D is an idie game in the sense of the developers making it from scratch HOWEVER it is using the Pokemon components. this is NOT a custom pokemon game, this IS an adaptation of the pokemon games following the same mechanics of pokemon, the vanilla game follows the same story as the Crystal version. That's the spirit of commercial games, not indie

That is the spirit that should be held by anyone who wants to gain a good following and see their game go farThat's the spirit of commercial games, not indie

.. people actually use item storage? News to me..But what if someone puts their HMs into storage, surfs out to some random island, and overwrites surf???
Obviously this is something that can be done by accident so HMs have to be permanent.
I'm just saying...if you have a problem with the way Pokemon 3D is being coded, by all means, go ahead and stop playing this game, and MAKE YOUR OWN. If you have the capabilities, the intelligence, and the patience to go and create a successful game like this, then do it. If you don't (and I'm 90% sure about this) then don't tell the developers how to run their own game. If they want to base it off of the backbone of the original Pokemon games (which is a great idea) then they should be allowed to, especially considering the fact that they wrote the game themselves, and are even KIND enough to let you play for free. That's the spirit of commercial games, not indie
