I love it when this guy sweeps people with 'crappy' Pokemon.
I hate to be the one to say this, but both the Magikarp and all of the legendaries the opponent uses are hacked Pokemon. They're fakes created through programs like PokeGen and PokeSav. The same goes for the Magikarp in the triple battle.

Its possible to sweep crappy teams with a Magikarp, but it is very hard to do so. You would need a dedicated Baton Pass team for a real Magikarp to preform a sweep.

good to know. i looked up magikarp when i read this post and saw he can't have sturdy either. flail really does a ton of damage at 1 hp though so its possible its all he changed for that one, he uses a ton of damage on entry to cripple the hell out of the pokemon before he flails them, its probably juuuuust enough to 1 hit them if they show up with half health

Um, that Magikarp does not have the ability Sturdy it has the item Focus Sash (did you try reading the battle messages?). It works like Sturdy in which if a attack would knock out a Pokemon with full health it will keep the Pokemon at 1 health.

I know that it has was running a Focus Sash but the ability wasn't what was fake; the stats were. Magikarp's max speed is 284 while Dialga's speed at minimum is 279. So for Magikarp do be able to outspeed Dialga, it would have to have absolutely no investment in the speed EVs (which is possible). The issue comes up when Magikarp used flail. Dialga's defensive and HP stat, combined with the fact that a normal Magikarp's terrible attack stat, means that a full damage Flail will only do 9.1% - 10.9% or 31-37 HP of damage.

So Magikarp's attack stat (and most likely speed stat) were hacked using PokeGen/PokeSav to make the stats much higher than a Magikarp could have.

How is this even possible.
I would imagine through tons of carbos, protein, and other stat raising items as well as a lot of money on the x attacks, etc. and time for training. He probably had to use an exp. share until it learned flail, which I do not believe it learns until it is about lvl 65.

Flail = Level 30

And it's ironic that I am talking about Magikarp when my forum title is Fisherman.

How did your magikarp beat Agatha's Gengar and Haunter? Flail is a normal type move and both Haunter and Gengar are gost types.
Maybe he kept using hyper potions/full restores until the Pokemon started using struggle. Once they started using struggle, they lose HP as if the move causes recoil. Or maybe they became confused over the reason why a Magikarp would challenge them and eventually fainted by hurting themselves in confusion.

Well, struggle is a normal move as well, so it won't affect ghost. And maybe they did get confused when they saw that magikarp challenging them. Who knows

I meant that the Haunter and Gengar resort to using struggle. Opponent Pokemon are capable of it. I've seen Smeargles do it a ton of times.

Yes that I get, but he had at least 80 of both max potion and full restore, I highly doubt it, but it could be possibly if he used the X spec def and endured each hit, but Agatha has 5 pokemon, making it highly unlikely he did it without cheats.
