Their has been a lot of confusion between what Professor Oak's Grandson's real name is in the video game. Let me clear it up. It's Blue. Okay? BLUE! NOT GREEN! and yes it's also Blue in the Manga.

Originally, the confusion started when during a battle in the stadium, it said on the score board it was Red vs Green when actually it was Red vs Blue. The writers came out and said that was a mistake. However, clearly people didn't get the message.

Also, in the first generation, Blue said that he was going to borrow a map from his sister and tell her not to give Red one. Oh, oops... Did I miss that 3 years later they actually named the place Blue's house? And it's strange that the Gym leader in the Gen II/IV/ V games Pokemon Trainer Blue looks extremely like "Green". So, what did we learn today Boys and Girls?

THIS is Blue

This Is Green (or Leaf) take your pick

And this... is something that should have never happened o_O

In Japan, I think the R/B/Y Rival is Green and the girl is Blue, but in America, he's Blue and she's Green. Or so I've been told.

So honestly, he could be considered Blue or Green (depending on what you prefer), but I mostly just call him Gary to avoid confusion :p

^GAHH!!!!:confused: The Pokemon Video Game was made before the Manga! He was named Green in the Japanese Manga, but his Default name in the game was Blue! It's Blue! Blue! BLUE!!!!!!! Behold his Girth!!!

I think "Blue" and "Green" are 2 stupid names for a human, so I too prefer to call him "Gary".

read the line that has the translation in it i think that sorta makes it clear that it is Green not Blue in Japan

the original games were Red and Green in Japan
Blue came out later with many bug fixes
Blue(JAP) was used as the basis for Red/Blue(USA) but the pokemon locations came from Red/Green

Yeah, they wouldn't continue to mistakenly call him Blue for this many years after the fact. He's Blue in HG/SS as well.

Haha this is a universe where Bugsy and Roark are totally normal names. I don't think Blue or Green are that much of a stretch.
