That is a thread asking how to create certain parts of a map, aka a thread asking for help designing a map.
From what I understand you are asking for a program to model maps.

My bad.Still, I figured out the map program that I saw in the other thread.I'll take the "Requires an application" out of the thread.

There's no map program used in the other thread, the map is displayed in the game itself.

You guys are probably using the map making program that many people use when they make maps for games that allow these maps(possible in Steam games that have the orange and gray cubes unlike in P3D).

We are editing the maps in a text editor.

Text editor as in Notepad or Sublime Text.

In my opinion, that looks impossible to use when making a map.However, I don't think it acts like a map-making program even tho it sorta does.

It's not impossible since every single map in the game and every GameMode is made using a text editor. You just open a map file with Notepad and edit the content.

I actually haven't heard of this before until now.Good to know that it is an alternate unlike all map-making apps that are used.

The use of making and editing maps via notepad(doesn't really make any sense meaning what I just said).

All the maps are editable using a notepad by default. The problem is only that you need something to display what you have actually added into the game.
Nilllzz have added something that allow this to happen so it would be much easiler.
