Auto-save

Is there a chance of adding an Auto-Save feature, that saves every so often, similar to minecraft in how if you press ESC it instantly starts saving , it could help for when someone's computer shuts off or if you accedently forget to save while closing the game.

This has been suggested numerous times. Autosave is a great idea, but you would run into problems since the game currently only supports one save file for each character.
