I think I reported that when the bug catcher update came out, nils said it uses the default browser (i.e it's something wrong with your settings not the client) but mine still uses IE even though I double checked the default programs.
You want to open a different browser from within Internet Explorer? Are you a madman?
Actual explanation: The HTML render you see inside the launcher is utilizing a system Internet Explorer view. So you are technically inside the Internet Explorer already just clicking on a hyperlink with a target="_blank" (opens in a new window).
