that doesn't work for lag, it's better lowering "Render distance", "Graphics" or "Offset map quality"

Thank you this has helped but the lag is still kinda bad even though I lowered everything suggested but I understand if lag is normal.

After the update I started to experience lag in the area of Violet City (The route between the city) and I've never experienced this before until the 0.22 update. I had everything on max and had no problems.

Have you tried making sure the programs you have running in the background aren't choking your processor? Running multiple small programs can be just as detrimental as running multiple large programs, such as WoW, DDO, and Diablo simultaneously. Heck, I have to shut down Steam, Skype, and my GS App to run with no lag. It's just your computer's specs.

There are more people with the same problem and it's because of the offset map. Everything works fine without it and has always done that before too. Even with programs running up.

Yeah, I get heaps of lag when ever it snowed. I found that going in and out of a building or something will normally fix the snow problem.

same thing with me. even if you turn off the Offset or doing it manually in the Map files. The offset is not there, yet it still loads causing massive Lags. so im not sure how that could be toned done. *Currently Forced to play on version 0.21*

I found after completing an event on another map like get your first pokemon from Elm and then going back into New Bark. And now that in 0.22, every map is connected, I'm pretty sure the snow will go for all maps.

I have an Acer Aspire Notebook, and because it's part of the Queensland Government thing, half it's RAM is taken up by useless crap.

I figured out hat it was because of the offset map
Yeah, for the most part, lag definitely seems to be mainly bias towards how well (or if at all) your computer can handle the maps outside of the one you're currently in. Not so much as the render distance.

FoV, as previously stated, has no effect (or little to none) on your FPS, as it only changes what you physically see from your perspective. The only way FoV would create spikes is if you had upped it all the way to maximum, and then flailed your mouse about the screen, causing the game to render many angles at once. (assuming it's rendered by looking at it, Ex: trees that angle at your viewpoint)

I made a similar, yet more in-depth response hanging out over here.
