Not a bug Keep losing save file.

This has probably already been put on here and I tried looking for it, but every time there is an update (example) version .21 or .22....... I keep losing my save file when I update the version. I had to restart my game for both versions. Before I downloaded the updates I still had my save file. however after words they are gone. Please help. I don't want to keep restarting.

It should ignore your save file(s)
to ensure this doesn't happen copy the pokemon/save file to another location before updating and place it bak in the pokemon folder afterwards

It was my fault I kept trying to move the file entirely so I guess it couldn't find the save location. Thank you though because you gave me the idea.
