Pokemon used Attack

So, I was playing the game when i realized how straight forward it seems when pokemon attacks. "pidgey used tackle" "metapod used harden". why not set it up so that it seems more actiony? You could change it to say "Pidgey tackled [opp.]" or "Metapod hardened his shell". You can even get a little more creative with some and say that "Bayleef unleashed a flurry or razor sharp leaves".
I just think this would sound better if i have to read the same thing over and over again when i am in a battle. it also sets up the scene a little better.

I don't like the idea, it would be confusing, one would not know wich move is using the oponent, I think its fine like the way it is now

It would also be a beast to implement. The current system uses one common string. You'd have to write a specific string for each move.

yeah...ik. and i realized that as i was saying it. i was just wondering. I also thought about the fact that people wouldn't necessarily know what move was being used.

I do think a unique string could be used for Wish if it were to be implemented - it does have one in the original games, after all.

I rather like the idea and function of dictating [opp.] after your opponent's pokemon makes a move. With the lack of animations, it makes combat easier to follow in my opinion. I'm looking forward to the next update! Just downloaded and started last night, and would have been confused, were it not for that.

Nils isn't going to take that dynamic out of the game, he's just going make it more like the original games. They would say "The foe's [pokemon]" and things like that.
