Yup! There's already people, like me, who're playing as their own characters or canon characters. I'm not sure exactly on how to
make the sprite, but it has to be grided properly before you apply it. Grided like this:
You already can change your sprite by formatting them into an .xnb file, and placing that .xnb file in Poke3D Folder > Pokemon > Content > Textures > NPC
Then you go to Poke3D Folder > Pokemon > Save > the name of your file or Character, and open the "Player.dat" file in Word or Notepad (or Notepad ++) and scroll down to where it says "Skin". You'll replace whatever is next to "Skin", with the name of the .xnb file you added before.
so for example in Player.dat, you might have
"skin|Red"
you'll replace "Red", with whatever your .xnb file is called. So if you named your .xnb file "Poophead", you'll put
"skin|Poophead" without quotation marks, obviously.
Oh and of course be doing all of this while logged out of Poke3D.
