yes i have played online before,
this was actually while playing online, the other persons pokemon are shown at random places throughout the map

Ah got it.
Let's say you are in Azalea Town at Position X=30, Z= 20 and your network partner is in Ilex forest at the same position.
The player entity is hidden but the Pokémon entity is not when you and your partner are on different maps.
Fixed for 0.22.1
