Just wondering, is this game based off of gold, silver, or crystal? (As in which legendaries you get and when you get them). Also, Pokemon3D has legendaries, right?

It takes all three games into consideration. Such as the ability to find version exclusives with the same chance of encounter where they would normally be found. It does have legendary from the first two games, but to put them in you will have to edit your save. They will not learn any moves as far as I know since I use the wiki to get Pokemon move sets in this game.

As Wart mentioned, all three games are taken into consideration. Certain aspects of battle, Pokemon types/moves, and some other things have been taken from Heart Gold/Soul Silver and Black/White 1/2.

As for legendaries, if you do edit your save to get them, you can also edit their moves to anything that is currently a working move since the legendaries do not yet have operational move sets.
