Left/Right D-pad/Left stick controls?

So as I used the D-pad and left stick on the (Xbox 360/DS4), I only noticed that down makes you do a 180 turn around (and on the stick, forwards with up). Could left and right do 90 degree turns and/or walk sideways? If and, just put it as a adjustable option in Options to do either or.

On a somewhat related note while we are on the d-pad, make up walk forward? This would allow a alternate and straightforward way to control your character using only the d-pad over the left stick if that is your preference. So we could use the d-pad or stick, based on preference.

pressing 'c' will change the camera controls from free to locked
in locked you turn in 90 degree increments
in free you can strafe

When you press F5 and then zoom in on the third person mode, you can basically strafe in first person.

Well that's odd to be in 3rd person while in 1st person, but alright. Thanks to both of you.

I kinda forgot to build in a limitation as to how far in you can zoom, but then left it that way because people used it to strafe in first person
