Do I have to restart the game every update because I want to keep my pokemons that I have right now, but I don't want to miss the new things

No you can resume your Game after the Update

No, you do not have to restart. Your file should continue to function normally with every update and you should not lose your Pokemon.

But you should have a backup in case something happens.

sometimes when we add an event in or change something your save may end up broken, but your save can be fixed, or your pokemon backed up and transfered to a new save as a last resort

and like alessa said, back your saves up periodically. things happen sometimes. like there's a bug currently where if you catch a pokemon and it sends it to the PC your box is cleared out (fixed for tuesdays update) so just be aware that you're playing a work in progress and bugs/glitches happen

otherwise, your save will function fine from version to version

Every tuesday and friday. Tuesday is the big update, friday is bug fix update.
