Since the server back-end is being worked on currently, and since we have no information of any of the changes that it will have, I have a few suggestion that would be great if they were to be implemented in the next version of the server client.
1 - The ability to minimize the server client to the system tray.
It's annoying as it is to have so many applications running at once, and since it needs minimum interaction, it's a good idea to make it invisible in the system tray.
2 - Make the PM color for the sender pink as well.
I don't know why it wasn't this way in the first place, it would help in making sure whither the PM was successful or not, and separates it from normal
messages, not to mention that you have to explain it to new users that thinks they failed the PM, or the ones who thought they sent it correctly.
3 - Make server messages acknowledge gender differences.
Like when a female player evolves "His" pokemon, they sometimes get really pissed off about it
4 - Add an option within the client server to restart automatically at specific times.
I don't know how daniel does it (I think through task scheduler or something similar), And I am not even sure if it actually restarts at said time, it would be
great to have that option to keep the servers running for the longest period with minimum interaction.
5 - Add the Ctrl+X function to the chat.
It's a bit annoying to copy the message and delete every time (it does not do anything)
6 - Add an individual mute system.
Since the servers are rarely moderated, sometimes people take advantage of that and start flaming and spamming on the server, It would be great to be able to mute them in a way that you would not receive any message from them (like a block or something).
7 - Add the delete function to the chat
Simply, make the delete button actually delete stuff in the chat! we need to have the ability to delete both ways.
8 - Block the ability to send the same message more than once in a row.
This will help greatly in reducing the spam that occurs on the servers
9 - Change the mute/ban to be GJ/ID number-based instead of Username-based
This will stop people from evading mute/ban by changing their gamejolt username.
I understand that most of these might be hard (or impossible) to add, they are just suggestions
