I don't know how to get to Viridian city...I tried through the League Reception gate(and maybe I will sound like a noob XD ) but I don't know how to go forward...

Have you gone to Vermillion City yet? You need to take the boat from Olivine City to get there.
In other words, you can only use that gate after you go to viridian city from the other way around, after you get from viridian to E4, you will be able to use that gate
Olivine > Boat > vermilion > cerulean > lavender > back to vermilion ( for snorlax ) > then viridian
(probably missed pewter somewhere there)
