Solved [0.21.1] EXP Bar Bug?

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, or a result of my tampering with the "Party" folder's code, but basically, when I added my Pokemon... I calculated the max XP they'd have at the levels I gave them. However, I didn't know that it's instead not the max... but how much XP they currently have towards leveling up. As a result, my Clefairy for example, ended up leveling up 4 levels. (I believe someone else here reported the same thing happening)

But the problem is that the XP Bar stretched against the screen in battle. I went back to my "Party" folder and gave each of my Pokemon 0 XP, and now their bar is gray... and it depletes from the left.

It's not a big deal per-say, but it's kind of annoying and "glitchy" looking in battle :p I'm not sure if this bug has already been reported (I looked in the list of bugs and couldn't find this) so I apologize if it has! If anyone has a solution to this, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I think it's because if you give it less exp than it should have at that level (to obtain at least lv 14) the exp bar will go to the left and shows how much exp you actually need to make it stable.

I used that code and it leveled up each of my Pokemon close to like, 10 levels. xD

But after they leveled up, at least the XP bar went back to normal. :) So thanks!

I used that site's leveling chart for each of my Pokemon's XP, but before, it would level up each of my Pokemon at least a few levels after a battle. Is there a way to avoid that or does that happen no matter what when you input a Pokemon's XP in the Party file?

well lets say your pokemon is lvl 1. and in its EXP chart you gave it 10k of exp. if that same pokemon deafeats or get exp from switching. that pokemon with 10k EXP will lvl up. it all depends on the lvl and the Exp.

which doesnt effect the Stats since the [0.21] Update.

However, the Exp Sprite only indicates the 0 of that current lvl. if it reads something below its current lvl. it will show that reverse EXP chart during battle or in the Pokemon's Menu.
meaning is your pokemon is lvl 10 and the Exp is of a lvl 1. you will indirectly lvling up that pokemon without increasing stats

Thats what I'm working on now. Errr...soon.
I think there is an algorithm used for each pokemon's "exp to next" based off of their base exp.
There is one tedious way to avoid said leveling btw:
1. Whip out your pokemon backpack from senior year of high school
2. Get that calculator out. (Its yellow and has pikachu on it :3 )
3. Type in the value of exp from the party.dat
4. Hit "-"
5. Open Pokemon3d and look at a summary of your pokemon, it should have a negative number for the "to next"
6. Type in that neg. # into your calculator and hit "="
7. Enter the output number in the exp value in the party.dat
They will only level up once using that.

That is my mod thread. Unfortunately, I only have the first 151 cause they take a bit to type up by hand.
