Everybody love plot twists which would also help in the game mode since the story apparently is a long one, the original games did not have that long of a story which sucked, also considering the level cap of your game mode, a bigger story would help in keeping the players in the game.

As for knuckles, Sega took the inspiration from the joints of the fingers that are called knuckle, You might aswell do the same. (But it's your call)

Yea I was just about to say Knuckles was a cop out of a name from SEGA anyway (Fantasticx beat me to it), I mean Tails too, and Sonic lol, but yea your call just thought it sounded nice. I'm glad your putting effort into story cause recently I've started reading the manga, and the story there makes Pokémon red and blue sooooooo much better, I mean with corrupt gym leaders working for Team Rocket and so on, hope that some deep story such as that was what you had in mind, cause in that case I'm all for plot twists. I do have more suggestions for your fighting-eon names too like Tussleon, Scrapeon, Flexeon tell me if you want me to keep going =P. What was your opinion on the fusion/combination Eevee idea?

well, the story is based on the games with a bit more story build as black and white series. and some few elements from the manga since this is based on the games. of course new characters to see and few returning characters from the pokemon series. not to mention that not all gym leaders are still gym leaders. im not saying who, just saying to look forward for creativity.
other then story, im really hating that fact that the new scripts are more focused now, its hard to get things right compared to the older scripts. for example, using the Add Pokemon commands crashes on the 2nd pokemon . -.
but well other then that theres cosmestic changes on both NPCs, and Terrain. also took the Sky Dome from Kira which adds a nice touch. which will give credit too course.
as for music, you will hear Remixes and New Music being played throughout. for example, Replaced the Johto Wild Battle them to something else entirely.

oddly enough, this is a remix of the Johto Victory Song, and it fits very well. im sure you'll agree.

it could be too loud but i set the volume settings to Music 50, Sound 100. so the music wont overpower the sound and course hurt the lovelys playing the Gamemode.

I do have more suggestions for your fighting-eon names too like Tussleon, Scrapeon, Flexeon tell me if you want me to keep going =P. What was your opinion on the fusion/combination Eevee idea?

i have to say that Flexeon sounds nice, but though the name would sound off because the fighting-eon isnt focused on Flexing persay, its like a kangaroo. so a name that fits a fighting kangaroo would sound better. though Fimeleon is a place holder. as much i like Flexeon, i cant use it for the reason stated. not to mention trying to have the F as it's first letter to indicate Fight. i could change Fimeleon to Phisleon

Well yea I thought Flexeon for reflex and flexing his arms and muscles, but if you want something kangarooish then, Walabeon (wallaby and jab), Jabbyeon (jab and wallaby),Pumbyeon (pummel and wallaby), Kanoxeon (kangaroo and boxing), Roosheon (kangaroo and smash), i'll leave it there since those were the top ones I thought of. The progress and plans for this sound awesome Shou it sounds like its really coming together, I hope you can sneak an appearance from Todd Snap in there since hes been dropped off the radar, felt betrayed when Cameron on HG/SS replaced him. Excited to see this story now since you mentioned the manga, hoping theres some back stabbing and betrayal against the player, like a childhood friend turning evil or something (kinda like Earthbound).

well i will have to decide on the names later.
as the story, i cant spoil to much of it, but ultimately look forward to it.

right now i encountered a huge issue regarding the Max Level and it's Exp Requiement.
there are 4 different types of Exp Requirement Scales depending on each pokemon.

Fast Scale
Medium Scale
Slow Scale
Slowest Scale

lvl 999 as Max level Crashes with pokemon that are set in Slow Requirement
for example, on slow setting the Exp needed goes over the max Exp gained (which is 1,000,000,000 Exp)
however, pokemon below that can be at lvl 999

which poses a serious issue for pokemon that takes longer to lvl up, meaning it needs more Exp.

so in retrospect, the Max Level for each Pokemon is now Debatable.
so for the time being, i will be testing the best possible Max Level to fit best with the Max Exp of 1 Billion

Edit: I Narrowed the best possible Max Level without crashing is Level: 750 (Tested on Slowest Exp Requirement)
thats alot of Levels Decreased. but that amount of Levels seems to be alright. though its a shame i cant have it as Level 999 as requested, but its for the best.

Update: After further testing, Level 750 Crashed. its now set to 700

I was thinking why not add an exp multiplyer (like 3 or 5x) and set all pokemon to slow exp gainers or slowest, then max level should cap at 500. That way its not to tedious and still feels rewarding constantly. Also increase evolve levels and move levels of course to spread it out evenly.

i've already decided to Lower the amount Exp given from each Pokemon.
so far play testing the Exp received is good and your pokemon wont lvl up quick as usual.
so its a bit more grinding but all in favor of Ev Training and Set Encounter Pokemon.

also, no Exp Multiplier, it defeats the purpose of Multiple Arks. the first Ark is a big game as is. by the end of it, you'll have one or more of your pokemon at Level: 120-140
which Max Level of 700 is fine right now.

Also another note, Exp Gain from defeated Pokemon varies on Weak Pokemon and Strong Pokemon
for Example,

1st Evolution: Small Amount of Exp
2nd Evolution: Medium Amount of Exp
3nd Evolution: Large Amount of Exp

this also varies on Bosses, which they give Very Large Amounts of Exp, so if you have multiple pokemon, its best to let them all fight and/or use Exp Share.

-if you got a Good Ending, you can experience a small story with the characters you chose to be with as a partner or friend which also activates 2 events regarding that character. not to mention that its a key to traverse to the next ark.

-if you got a Bad Ending, well.... i cant say much on the matter. i'll just say its not recommended, and dont worry, it'll be hard to get it.

-There is a Ending called "The True Ending", with the same benefits of the good ending, this is the extended 1st Ark. which there are Alot more things to do. and its also a key to the 2nd Ark. not to mention if this is Achieved, The True Ending is part of the 2nd Ark, which is a hint on whats to come. without spoiling anything on whats its about and how to is up to you to find out.

9% of the First Ark so far.

as stated before, im doing alot of Story Planing and Character Development.
right now the story is upto Ilex Forest, and the Level of Eevee would reach lvl 35 if Grind. but once you play you'll see what i mean.

speaking of which, once im done i'll hand out Demos for testers before the first official Ver 0.10 release,

Its sooo dumb and hard to get the sky right, the clouds are too tranparent even though they are not, and the sky is too not cool colors, and looks bleh.
