[Indev 0.48] Unable To Acquire Rock Smash

When I was playing back when this game just released Sudowoodo, well apparently when I was soft- resting for Sudowoodo, after the first reset Sudowoodo was gone. Here were the problem starts, the game thinks I haven't battle Sudowoodo and is now not giving me Hm rocksmash. Sadly now that I'm at cerulean cave I can't go any futher into the game without rocksmash.

The problem you are encountering is that in the early version you played, a register wasn't getting set so the script of the NPC you are talking to doesn't "know" you defeated Sudowood (in fact, the game doesn't know).
Rocksmash in not an HM in this game, and you can buy the TM in the Goldenrod Dept Store.
Also, you don't need Rocksmash in Cerulean Cave to progress, and you don't need it anywhere in the default GameMode.

yeah i never had rocksmash until before i entered cerulean cave i just sorta went shopping and found it, i didnt even know you could get it from a hiker i havent played the 2nd gen games in a long time i usually play gen 1

Ah, never thought of that, but anyway thanks for the heads up guys. Mainly I was kind of panicking since that was the only place I knew since I recently played Heart Gold.
