ItemFinder Failure

Hey all,

I guess I have a problem. I did not receive the itemfinder from the related npc even tho it talks like the opposite, and I seem unable to find "HM07" (Waterfall) even after dozens of detailed checks in the ice path.

Peeps told me that I do not need itemfinder to see and get the items, but wiki and other places say different. Checked some gameplay of icepath and saw that I see a clear empty place where HM07 should be located in. (seems like even before watching the gameplay, I had already tried the possibility of that the spot I was suspicious of (seems like I had already figured the correct location of the item even tho I did not see it) might keep the item invisibly.. still no result)

So guys, after like 9 hours of wasting time, I am open for any kind of suggestion/opinion.

As for the Itemfinder, you can still grab hidden items off the ground, you just can't see them.

As for your Waterfall HM, can you go to the first floor of Ice Path, then send me your GameJolt credentials? I'm seeing if the HM is there or not.

Actually, don't do so right now. For some reason the thing I use to debug is having problems right now, I'll try again later.

If your lack of Waterfall is preventing you from progressing, then I guess train/catch while waiting.

I'll call in some other mods whose debugging tools might not be on the fritz like mine, they can help you.

Thanks a lot for the assistance! I could not care less if I had itemfinder or not, but thanks to the lack of WF, I have been stuck between the regions for like 10 hours now :')

Update;
-Login info sent to darkfire.
-Confirmed also that not only the itemfinder and HM07 are the problems. Seems like any kind of hidden item (along with quest items such as missing generator part) is not processable for me.
-Peeps in ig-chat told me that the saving process is not working properly nowadays (confirmed that as the server generally saved my location/money/etc but not the achievements/other progress) as it just keeps remaining as "The game is being saved..." (or w/e it says during the process..). Personal assumption coming from this knowledge offers that the possibility of a broken save data is much likely (based on no literal fact, therefore useless info )

Well I can't help then, as I don't know what the root of the problem is.

Likely a corrupt save though, the only sure fire advice I got is to reset your save (maybe redownload the game before doing so).

There is a button alongside the gender buttons when your profile is loaded (looks like a circular arrow). This will reset your profile, but you need to save in your new save for the effects to take place.
