nope, poison powder doesn't affect poison types.

I thought this rules only applied to Gen 1? In this case... wouldn't this be a bug?
nope this applies to all generations (at least at my knowledge and the wiki article says so) and also I thought it would be kinda "normal" that poison types cannot get poisoned. So it will stay in the game.

I ment Bellsprouts poison powder, his move, does nothing to other pokemon in the new update.
Are you sure? Did you try multiple times? Because, if the attack misses, the message "But it failed..." will also appear. And Poison Powder has a 25% of not hitting the opponent.

If you try the move on Bellsprout it claims "Normal Damage"
But Steel is immune to Poison attacks (the only type ;) )
If you input Steelix instead of Bellsprout then it comes up as "None...not affected at all"

"normal damage" it does that in the game? But Poison Powder has no base damage...
And if you read this page: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Poison_(status_ailment)#Poisoning_Steel_and_Poison-type_Pok.C3.A9mon
you can see that you cannot poison a poison type.

I tried on many pokemon, the result was this: Every time Bellsprout was ordered to attack using poison powder, it did nothing, then the enemy used an attack and I was sent back to the choose your option of what ever you want to do "run, bag, etc." I repeted the process at least three times per pokemon, untill I finally got fed up and just decided to teach Bellsprout cut. Poison powder is pretty useless anyway and I had plans to delete it in the future when he learns wrap.

I just tested it, it works perfectly for me:

You have got to be kidding me, I tried it on slowpoke and zubat, wooper, geodude, etc. Why would it not work. The text box would flash then go away without saying anything. And the move would not be performed. Maybe some issues dont arise for evey copy of the game. I have run into slowpoke using tackle once without causing any damage. Maybe my Bellsprout had some issue, who knows. But I could raise another one and if the issue occures again, then ill know it was a fact that poison powder doesnt work, or either my bellsprout is a unique problem within the game.
