Solved Server Custom Gamemode Help

The gamemode I want to use in my server is called "RandomLocke" In the properties file, I set gamemode to "RandomLocke" When I try to join the server, it says player tried to join with gamemode "pokemon 3d" Am I missing something??

You need to play the game which has the gamemode RandomLocke for it to work this way.

I don't see what your trying to say. I've played the game offline but do I need to put the RandomLocke gamemode into the folder that the server is in??

I can only use my gamejolt ID and I dont know how to switch gamemodes with my gamejolt character. I tried joining with an offline profile and it said couldnt join because it was offline instead,

You can only do one of the below:
For a server to host a different GameMode, you don't have to put the GameMode files into the server's folder. All you have to do is set the server's GameMode property in the settings file to the GameMode you want the players to have when they join.
The thing is, your GameJolt GameMode is always "Pokemon 3D", because the online profiles are set to be played in the default GameMode since it has standardized leaderboards and stuff. So in order for you to join a server with a different GameMode, you have to start a new Offline game and select the GameMode you dropped into the GameModes folder before.

So making progress now... I changed it to an offline server. I cant get my friend into the game. It just cant find the server for him. Should we use Hamachi? Or do I have to go through that whole Port Forwarding situation?

Okay so I assume that means that both work.. Alright thanks alot I know how to set up hamachi on the server Il reply with the results.

Hamachi is what I decided to use and it was successful. Thanks alot for helping through the issue.
