Suggestion about Hoenn's introduction

One of the big things is should this be a move or a second home?
We will have to look into that abit but we could make it so that you leave things like your badges etc in your old house
but i am not sure how we will actually do this in the end and we havent discussed it much yet as we have alot of maps to make yet plus finishing PvP and battles in general before we move on to Hoenn

i prefer a move like emerald pokemon history

Well you're right, that's a thing I didn't think. IMHO it's better if you have the two houses, but the removal could be a solution for the next maps (after Hoenn), so it could be an idea that you have every time a new home and lose the old one (it's not realistic that you buy a new house every time and can keep the old one too).
One question, will you be able to travel back to Johto/Kanto right after the removal to Hoenn? Or you will be able to get back only after Fly/E4?
I know you still have some work to do before these issues, but I can't help myself imagining all this stuff! I love this project I actually think it would have been even better if you started from Red/Blu story, but hey, what is done is done!

i think after E4 because pc of johto kanto cant connect for the bad signal and when you finish E4 you will be able to fly to johto/kanto

we recently started actually discussing some of the things we could do since Hoenn is getting closer
I suspect we could start hoenn before the end of summer if we keep going at the pace we were before nilllzz got stuck in testing(I started working on Icefall Cave so 0.47 wont be too far off)
but I doubt it will be that soon

Also old places wont be available until after the E4(though until we complete it we might make a way to go back and forth b/c we dont want people stuck in Hoenn even though they havent done everything in Kanto/johto)
you will likely need to take a boat between regions since flying wont work(you cant fly from Kanto to Johto unless you are right on the edge so Hoenn is def too far )

but if you can take a boat, you can brig strong pokemon to pass the E4 and history easily and that is a point to evade no?
i mean, if this continue, in the 4 gym hoenn more or less, onwards, the lv of poke will remain in 100 and that will behave a boring battles.
if you can return to johto or kanto with a boat make a method to evade this "cheats" .

Oh it wont be anything like that
The idea will be that you will be able to goto a warp pannel and it will auto deposit your pokemon and items when you use it

Hay dark sup how about this, Have it as the 2ed home your home, and the 1st house was are moms home, that rarely are mom can come to and give us a gift for player base's like a doll or something.

Overall we would rather not have a "hostage" situation to deal with the main party
The prof idea works well b/c it seems like something the prof would ask you
maybe he wants to study how a good trainer changes his pokemon compared to someone like Joey or something and wants your pokemon to study and feels that it might work out for you too b/c your pokemon are becoming too strong for you to have an actual challenge in the Hoenn League and starting over might make it more rewarding
We wont have to worry about this for a few months yet as we have the rest of Kanto and all of the Sevii Islands to make so.......

I dont know i kind of want to take at least one pokemon. It would certainly add more if you did something different than what the original game did (start with 1 hoenn starter). Instead you could do something like what they did in crystal where its free roam (with hoenn story of course) and all the gyms are set to the same levels (obviously higher than kanto). Otherwise you'll be making it impossible to go back to other regions (the differences in levels in different areas) and it adds a little extra for the story without making it different (you are a foreign trainer coming to challenge the Hoenn gyms). It doesn't seem extra challenging as far as coding goes (although I'm not a master) and you already did something of the sort for the kanto region.

the level gain is too high and we want to do the actual story from Emerald
You ofc wont loose your pokemon permenantly(after the league you get them back) and the same with your access to johto/kanto(during development we will try to give you return access to K/J from H so you can still train your strong pokemon from their/PvP, etc)
We will follow the Emerald story line as closely as possible so dont ask for us to change anything(like having two starters, facing a different bad team, etc)

From what I understood, you can travel from Hoenn to Kanto/Johto and vice versa via some sort of teleportation device (not with Fly) which automatically deposits your "Hoenn items" and withdraws your "Kanto/Johto ones".
