Suggestion about Hoenn's introduction

Hi, I have a suggestion about Hoenn's introduction in the story. I heard you are planning to force a PC deposit of all the pokémons to soft-reset the game and then you will be able to withdraw all of them after getting all the new badges. What is there is some kind of blitz by the Team Rocket (or the III Gen. Teams) and they steal all of your pokémons?

Quite interesting.
Would require some work to make a side-story to get your pokemon back throughout playing the game.

Well of course I meant you get all of your pokémons at once after gaining all the badges. You don't get some of your pokémons throughout the game. This shouldn't be so difficult, it's just a few lines more in dialogues I guess. This "trick" should work even better with Platinum Version story, considering the Team Galactic misdeeds.

i have another suggestion about Hoenn's introduction in the story. When you finish the pokemon league of kanto for the second time ( after having explored the Sevii Islands ) then your mother call you on the phone and tell you that she decided to removal to Hoenn (Littleroot Town). Then you must leave your pokemon party as a consequence of space problem. the johto/kanto is inaccesible as a result of bad signal, then you must remake your party with new pokes and the starter, and beat team aqua or magma.
you will be able to access to johto/kanto pc when you successfully finish the hoenn pokemon league first time, and after finish the hoenn pokemon league for first time, you will be able to access to Faraway island and Southern island.

Mmmh it doesn't make much sense to me. It looks stretched a lot, don't you think? Leave the party to make space? Six pokéballs don't take a lot of space, and PC pokémons take none. The bad signal could work, they used this trick for a lot of stuff (I mean things not working at the moment, like traidings, radios, trains, etc.), but I would find something more solid to force you to deposit all of your pokémons in the PC and then remain stuck with none of them for bad signal. I mean, I would be so pissed!
Lastly, I think a Team "Something" implication would be much more enjoyable! :)

I'm with the "team x did y to stop you bringing your pokemon over to z region" idea. That would work for the pokemon you carry on you, and if the signal idea could be incorporated, the bad guy team could interfere/destroy some inter-region communication device for the PC, hence you not getting your old Pokemon from a PC - the destroyed device is getting repaired/made again.

Me and nilllzz's recent discussion:
Prof Elm will request you start over when going to hoenn(you will move there much in the same way it is in the original games) and once there you wont be able to access the P.C. b/c it simply hasn't been connected to Kanto/johto's system yet and it wont be til after you beat the E4

i like that but to avoid cheats, i propose 2 different ways to do it: first one is restart lv pokemon, evolution stats etc... and the second one leave party in johto/kanto pc and start new one apart

Great ideas. I am looking forward to the forced start over (even though it will only last till after E4 of hoenn). And i like the idea with hoenn just not beeing connected to the network instead of something beein broken. Again. ^^
Let's just hope all of us will live long enough to see the introduction of hoenn :p

How about you cant take your pokemans with you because there is a disease in Hoenn that affects foreign pokemans. Of course, it gets cured after you beat the elite 4.

This is a Pokemon game :p
Having Elm or Oak request you leave your pokemon for the sake of "research" sounds like something that would happen

The PCs not connected is probably the best and simplest idea. I'm not so sure about Elm asking to start over. I mean, he can ask to keep going with the pokédex, but why force you to deposit all of your pokémons? Can't you just do the job and keep the party fellas? A Team "Something", to me, would be a better solution. The already deposited pokémons can't be accessed because of the connectivity issues and the party ones are stolen. This way you have to start over, you have a nice extra to the story and there is no plot hole :D

Or maybe we should get forced to put our team in a special box on in the pc bc bill (or whoever) wants to test something. And then a bug occoures so we can't withdraw them for quit some time

Overall we would rather not have a "hostage" situation to deal with the main party
The prof idea works well b/c it seems like something the prof would ask you
maybe he wants to study how a good trainer changes his pokemon compared to someone like Joey or something and wants your pokemon to study and feels that it might work out for you too b/c your pokemon are becoming too strong for you to have an actual challenge in the Hoenn League and starting over might make it more rewarding
We wont have to worry about this for a few months yet as we have the rest of Kanto and all of the Sevii Islands to make so.......
