Is the friendship component functional?

Thanks! Oh, by the way... Just a heads-up though... I just noticed it now, but it seems that there is a bug where the ditto I caught and placed in daycare is being called a missingno by the daycare man when I call him and my geodude just disappeared. It was part of my line-up when it did. I saved then exited pokecenter then everything was black so i loaded and geodude was gone. no biggy though. Just thought I'd report the bug.

You put a ditto in the daycare with a geodude, the ditto registered as missingno and the geodude disappeared?

Both events happened at around the same time but I am not sure if both are correlated.
1. the ditto was in daycare. ditto registered as a missingno but only when i call the the phone to the daycare man.
2. coming from the daycare center, went to the pokemon center. called daycare man. saved game after healing pokemon. exited pokecenter. everything was black. so reset game interface. (that fixed the screen from being black), but geodude was gone. continued to play game for a few minutes not noticing what happened. When I noticed, reported the bug.
Well... that is my recollection of the events as I saw them. Just trying to do my part and report the bugs that I see.

Could I ask you to try and reproduce this bug, get screenshots and then create a new thread on the bug forum?

Sure. I'll do what I can to try and recreate the circumstances.

Ok... I've tried to duplicate circumstances but while doing so, I realized 1 thing that couldn't be duplicated. That time, I had the spearrow that was to deliver the mail to the fat sleeping guy to get nightmare TM.

everything seems to be working fine now.
