I do not seem to understand the problem here...
Be sure you are using the Pokemon3D.exe and not the Pokemon.exe directly.
It means that he hasn't downloaded the newest version.
Or
He downloaded the launcher, pressed ''Download latest version'' and then moved the launcher elsewhere, which would cause the same effect.
The launcher does not search your whole computer for the P3D files, instead, it looks for them at the same place the launcher is stored.
Chris, here is what you have to do:
Make a new folder on your desktop. (Call it Pokemon or something of your choice)
Put the launcher in that folder.
Open the launcher in that folder and download the latest version.
Finish download.
Play the game.
(Keep the launcher in that folder.)
