Poke gear can i get it?

Heyy ppl i was wondering i started the online before the pokegear update and was wondering if i could get it after i am soooo far into the game Note: I did try to check the faq but it said it was unavalable so i have come to ask for some help

You should have gotten the PokéGear at the very beginning of the game (first talk with your mother). Assuming you didn't do any keybinding alterations, you can open the PokéGear by pressing Q.

Nope i started my online profile before the poke gear update was released so i was wondering
