Not a bug chose answer before getting the question

i'm in olivine city gooing through the houses and i started speaking to the guy that wants to trade a voltorb for a crabby
the only problem i have with that guy is that i have to answer "yes" or "no" right from the start, before he even says a single word. after picking yes he explains he wants to trade his voltorb for a krabby and then i get to pick a pokemon for trade. i didn't have one on me so i closed that screen and then he just showed his dissapointment in me. so asides from the the decision making beeing hapening at the wrong moment, nothing seems wrong with him, but i thought it'd tell you about this anyway.
