It wouln't be identical to the original, it has HG and SS updates, the V generation moves and completely new things

we're using references from johto map etc and textures from the GBC games where we can but sometimes you gotta get a wall out of hg/ss etc. we are using the GBC game's layouts, not the remakes

i even played through the maps in an emulator to get the exact npc lines and the range trainers trigger from and what direction they are pointing. i went to great lengths to ensure you can't get through the level in a way that wasn't possible in G/S. i don't get where the criticism is coming from tbh
